Job description

Location: Our Solutions Engineer, SELECT by DoiT, will be an integral part of our Solutions Engineering team in North America. This role is based remotely in the US East.

Who We Are
DoiT is a global technology company that empowers cloud-driven organizations to achieve business growth and innovation through strategic cloud utilization. We combine data, technology, and human expertise to ensure our customers operate in a well-architected and scalable state—from initial planning to full-scale production.

With deep experience across cloud environments, we specialize in Cloud Data Platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery, alongside strong FinOps expertise. As a trusted and award-winning strategic partner of AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, we support over 4,000 customers worldwide.

Our flagship offerings include DoiT Cloud Intelligence, which uniquely blends advanced technology with human insight to solve complex multicloud challenges and drive efficiency. We also offer SELECT for Snowflake—a pioneering solution for cost observability and optimization (with Databricks and BigQuery support coming soon). By automating optimizations and delivering actionable cost-saving insights, SELECT enables organizations to achieve unparalleled efficiency across their Cloud Data Platforms.

The SELECT platform offers:

  • Automated savings on day one: An autonomous optimization engine that suspends idle compute and spins down excess clusters without requiring engineering time, saving customers 10-20% with minimal human intervention.
  • Targeted insights that stack-rank savings opportunities: Actionable recommendations that surface oversized resources, inefficient queries, and unused tables, prioritized by savings potential so teams know exactly where to focus.
  • Full cost visibility, down to the workload: Granular attribution across queries, jobs, teams, and departments, giving organizations the context to compare Cloud Data Platform spend against the business value provided.
  • Cost control and spike prevention: Budget tracking, forecast tooling, and configurable alerts that not only notify teams of runaway spend but immediately surface root cause analysis, eliminating the need to jump between consoles.
  • AI-powered investigation that turns hours into minutes: A built-in copilot that accelerates MTTR, frees engineering teams from reactive firefighting, and provides a sustainable path to cost-aware culture across the business.

The Opportunity
As a Solutions Engineer, SELECT by DoiT, you will be a pivotal technical leader, collaborating closely with our Account Executive team to deliver exceptional value throughout the customer journey, specifically focusing on our cutting-edge Snowflake/Databricks optimization capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Qualification & Discovery: Collaborating with the Account Executive to thoroughly understand the prospect's technical environment, Cloud Data Platform cost challenges, cost optimization goals, and key business objectives through in-depth technical discovery sessions.
  • Technical Validation & POV Leadership: Owning and driving the technical validation and Proof of Value (POV) exercises for SELECT. This includes meticulous POC preparation, proactive management, and ensuring successful technical outcomes, demonstrating clear value and alignment with prospect requirements.
  • Platform Demonstrations: Tailoring and delivering compelling SELECT platform demonstrations to prospects, effectively showcasing its capabilities and addressing their specific use cases and concerns.
  • Business Case & ROI Development: Leveraging your analytical skills and deep understanding of Cloud Data Platform to develop compelling business cases and robust ROI analyses that clearly articulate the tangible value, cost savings, and performance improvements achievable with SELECT.
  • SELECT Expertise: Becoming the go-to expert within the company for SELECT, ensuring prospects achieve optimal results and a seamless implementation experience.
  • Technical Win Ownership: Taking full ownership of the technical win for SELECT engagements, guiding prospects through the technical evaluation process, addressing all technical requirements, and building technical confidence in the solution.
  • Event & Conference Presentations: Representing DoiT and SELECT at company events and industry conferences, delivering engaging presentations and demonstrations to a wider audience, showcasing our Snowflake/Databricks (and soon BigQuery) optimization expertise as well as platform capabilities.
  • Product Feedback and Customer Advocacy: Translate customer pain points and feature gaps into structured, technically credible input for R&D teams. Represent the voice of the technical customer in roadmap discussions.
  • Accurate, timely documentation: Ensure timely entry of data into internal business support solutions. Contribute to systems and tools to provide key business information and metrics to highlight performance and effectiveness.
