About the role Job Summary
The Production Worker / Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This role supports the manufacturing process by identifying defects, maintaining equipment, and following production protocols.
This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously.

SUMMARY:

Performs sandblast and paint application tasks in accordance with SPSI standard procedure processes as well as specific customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:% OF TIME

Operates sandblast equipment to provide required surface preparation35%

Performs mixing of various types of paint materials.5%

Operates conventional spray equipment, including brush to provide a high quality industrial finish to parts and components35%

Moves parts and components as needed with forklift or overhead pendant crane5%

Dispose of paint waste materials as required by company, state and federal regulations5%

Adheres to Safety and Take 5 culture 5%

Supports and cooperates with Four Principles5%

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Other duties as assigned5%

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year experience operating sandblast equipment

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating conventional spray equipment

Forklift and pendant crane experience is helpful

Minimum 1 year of experience mixing and applying epoxies, polyurethane, inorganic zinc and alkyd enamel paints.
