Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in the Greater Chicago Area for a Cabinetry Finishing Manager specializing in high-end custom millwork. The Cabinetry Finishing Manager will oversee all aspects of the finishing department, including managing operations, ensuring quality standards, coordinating projects, and supervising staff. Responsibilities include managing production timelines, enforcing quality control measures, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth project delivery. The role also includes maintaining safety and compliance standards and supporting efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in wood finishing, paint and stain
  • Knowledge of various finishing techniques and products.
  • Knowledge of touch up techniques on various materials and finishes.
  • Knowledge of spraying/finishing room equipment.
  • Expert knowledge of stain-grade and paint-grade finishing systems.
  • Strong color matching and finish development skills.
  • Experience in Quality Control and ensuring adherence to finishing standards and specifications
  • Ability to establish processes, train team members, and build department accountability.
