Job description

Today, we're one of the largest interior/exterior finish contractors in the U.S., with offices throughout the country and a reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities include:
  • Cut and install metal or wood studs.
  • Install wood backing for walls.
  • Install doors, frames, trim, upper and lower cabinets, plastic laminate work, and many other finish items.
  • May include cleanup, scrapping, moving material, tools, or equipment.
  • Conform to all safety rules and regulations of the Company and OSHA standards.
  • Arrive at work on time at various locations.
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolds.
  • Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars.
  • Attend and participate in all required training programs.
  • Conform to all company polices and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:
  • The ability and willingness to learn company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards.
  • Knowledge and ability to use tools, materials, and equipment necessary for completing finish carpentry projects.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read (blueprints) plans and specifications.
  • Ability to accurately measure materials.Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and stilts.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team environment, with frequent one-on-one and group activity.
  • Lifting over 100 lbs. occasionally (doors or studs).
  • Lifting 50-60 lbs. frequently. Approximately 6-8 times per hour.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling 15 lbs. on a regular and constant basis, 2-3 hours per day.
  • Reaching above shoulder and at shoulder height with the weight of wood studs, metal studs, and various tools on a regular basis.
  • Stooping and bending to cut wood and metal studs with knife and chop saw.
  • Standing and walking for 8 hours per day.
  • Climbing scaffold as high as 3-4 stories, possibly higher, 4-8 times per day when jobs are above ground level.
  • Full use of fingers and both hands required for this manually dexterous position.
  • Simultaneous mental alertness and muscular coordination.
  • Must have vision correctable to at least 20/40 in order to use tools and perform tasks associated with the job.
