The PT II in the Pre-Scan Unit reviews and analyzes the more complex document submissions; performs varied technical functions involving the receipt, distribution, and electronic scanning of criminal and applicant documents for processing by the Department; processes associated applicant fingerprint fees and verifies that appropriate fees are included, and is responsible for processing the more complex documents for entry into the Automated Archive System (AAS). The PT II must have extensive knowledge of the various state statutes under which client agencies are authorized to submit summary criminal record repository documents and knowledge of multiple Departmental programs. The PT II is responsible for accessing the automated Authorization Agency List and the Applicant Processor database to validate the authorization of the submitting agency and reviewing the completeness and accuracy of the information, including fees, and must have an understanding of the work flow of both automated and manual fingerprint processes within the Department. The PT II reviews and prepares the more difficult transmittals and reconciles fees collected for processing applicant fingerprint cards and prepares them for submission to accounting. The PT II processes daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports and forwards them to the appropriate Bureau sections. The PT II also provides training to section staff on the various processes.
