Key Responsibilities:
The Dining Server will provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. You will assist in meal set up, in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as with our established policies and procedures. Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis and assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
  • Serve meals that are attractive in appearance; and using established portion control procedures.
  • Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties; clean equipment, sweep floors, clear and carry soiled dishware to wash areas, return clean dishware to proper storage areas, wash and clean dishware or pots & pans as needed, assist cook in preparing meals when needed, and deliver food trays to designated areas. Keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies.
  • Attends and participates in department meetings and in-service training.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department.

Food service experience is a plus. On the job training is provided!
Requirements
  • Medium amount physically demanding work.
  • Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and successfully complete a reference check.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet.
  • Must possess Food Handler Certification or Serve Safe Certification or obtain same within 90 days of hire. Certification must remain current throughout employment.
