What is a fingerprint analyst?

A Fingerprint Analyst is a forensic professional who examines and compares fingerprint evidence to assist in criminal investigations. Analysts meticulously document their findings, prepare detailed reports, and may be called upon to present their conclusions as expert testimony in court. They often collaborate with law enforcement officers, detectives, and fellow forensic professionals to ensure comprehensive case analysis. The workflow can vary based on case urgency and volume, but the role consistently requires focused attention and adherence to strict procedures to uphold evidentiary standards.
