Director of Sales, Field Sales

Help lead a sales organization that is focused on retaining and growing our large subset of attorney and firm customers across the United States. The role of the Director of Sales is to provide executive leadership and strategic direction to the Field Sales organization. You will be responsible for driving overall revenue growth by designing high-level strategies to land new logo customers and significantly grow the existing customer base to exceed projected organizational revenue goals. By managing and mentoring your leadership team (Regional Sales Managers), you will oversee all assigned field sales functions including: new sales, customer retention, financial forecasts, market intelligence, territory development, recruiting, onboarding, and training. You will define organizational structure and facilitate professional growth across the sales management layer.

About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Director of Sales you will:
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive strategic sales plans to achieve and surpass overall company revenue targets, both monthly and annually.
  • Drive market expansion and maximize the total value of the field sales organization's territories through strategic new sales initiatives and best-in-class customer retention efforts.
  • Be accountable for establishing consistent pipeline management standards and ensuring enterprise-wide forecasting accuracy for executive reporting.
  • Provide executive oversight and guidance to the regional sales management team, ensuring a positive impact on employee development, engagement, and retention.
  • Establish training programs and mentorship frameworks to instill a value-based selling culture across the entire field sales organization.
  • Direct the sales management team to execute against strategic account and territory plans to consistently hit organizational revenue goals.
  • Champion the adoption of key technology platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and drive alignment with company-wide strategic initiatives.
About You:
  • 8+ years' experience B2B selling to professionals in a direct field-based sales environment, ideally within the Legal marketing category.
  • 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience managing a team of sales managers (Regional Managers or equivalent) both remote and in-person.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Executive-level proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious sales quotas and organizational targets.
  • Ability to work remotely and manage a geographically dispersed team with required travel to customer locations and corporate headquarters.
  • Experience in Legal Industry preferred.
  • Expert-level use of Google Suite, Office, Salesforce, and other sales enablement and automation tools.
Compensation: Base compensation in the $100ks + commission and bonus
