Always check the job description for specific duties and qualifications.

What are common challenges professionals face in finding roles, and how can they overcome them?

Professionals in 'finding' roles, such as sourcing specialists or talent scouts, often encounter challenges like identifying hard-to-find candidates or resources, managing large volumes of data, and staying updated with industry trends. Overcoming these hurdles requires strong research skills, effective use of technology and databases, and continuous professional development. Collaborating closely with team members and leveraging networks also helps streamline the finding process and leads to better outcomes.

Job description

Automotive Vehicle Buyer - Edmonton/ Calgary

 Full-Time

***Applicants must be physically located in Edmonton or Calgary to apply***

We’re looking for an Automotive Vehicle Buyer who love the thrill of the hunt — finding great vehicles, negotiating great deals, and turning those deals into serious income.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals. You’ll be responsible for sourcing vehicles from private sellers, online marketplaces, and industry networks, negotiating purchase prices, and coordinating the purchase and delivery of vehicles into our inventory. This is a fully remote role with a high level of autonomy. We trust our team to manage their time, chase opportunities, and take ownership of their results. The more vehicles you source and secure, the greater your earning potential.

If you’re competitive, self-motivated, and enjoy the challenge of finding and securing great deals, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Hunt for used vehicles through online marketplaces, private sellers, wholesalers, and industry networks.
  • Reach out to sellers and actively pursue purchasing opportunities.
  • Assess vehicles using market data, vehicle history, and condition to determine purchase value.
  • Negotiate directly with sellers to secure strong purchase prices.
  • Meet with sellers when required to finalize purchases while representing FFUN professionally.
  • Coordinate vehicle purchases including payment processing and transportation logistics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and sellers to create a consistent pipeline of inventory.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing to identify profitable buying opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure vehicles move quickly through intake, marketing, or wholesale remarketing.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory activity.

This role is perfect for someone who:

  • Loves finding great deals
  • Is competitive, performance-driven, and motivated by earning potential
  • Doesn’t wait for opportunities — they go out and find them
  • Enjoys negotiating and closing deals
  • Thrives with autonomy and ownership of their results
  • Enjoys being on the road, rather than at a desk
  • Is persistent and doesn't get discouraged by hearing "no"

To succeed, we are looking for someone who:

  • Experience in sales — automotive, cellular, furniture.. it doesn't matter!
  • A natural ability to assess value and negotiate confidently
  • Strong self-motivation and initiative
  • Comfort working independently in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deals and opportunities simultaneously
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally to inspect and purchase vehicles
  • The ability to build trust quickly with customers, wholesalers, and industry partners

Why FFUN:

  • Competitive Pay: 3-month guaranteed wage, followed by a market-leading commission structure. We provide the tools and opportunities—you control your income, with unlimited earning potential.
  • Group Retirement Savings Plan -Employer-Employee matched contributions because we care about your future financial security
  • Employee Discounts –Get excited with exclusive discounts, not just on vehicles, but also on service, repairs and parts.
  • Training & Development–Buckle up for an exciting ride! Joining us is like stepping onto a rocket ship of learning opportunities in a turbo-charged industry.
  • Corporate Gym Membership Rates -Get your fitness on with corporate gym membership rates that won't break the bank. Flex those muscles, both at work and at the gym.
  • Health & Dental–Stay healthy and smile bright with our comprehensive health and dental plans. We've got you covered inside and out.
  • Giving Back –From Hospital Foundations to local sports teams, we want everyone to have a little more FFUN in their lives.
