LICENSED TEACHER VACANCY
CHILD FIND AND EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIALIST - DISTRICT WIDE

Starting Date:
July 14, 2026
New Teacher/Licensed Staff Orientation:
New teaching/new licensed staff orientation will be held on July 24th & 27th
Experience:
District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year relevant experience
Work Schedule:
197 contracted work days
Benefits:

Salary: 
The minimum starting pay is $54,662/year and the maximum salary is $110,405/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant experience.










Job Description: Child Find and Early Childhood Specialist


Qualifications and Expectations:

  1. Master's degree from accredited college or university
  2. Valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in area of assignment: Early Childhood Special Education 0-8.  NOTE: These are the only endorsements that are acceptable for this position.  If you do not hold this endorsement but have been accepted into a CDE approved program that when finished will yield you eligible to apply for a CO teaching license or added endorsement in Special Education Generalist while working under a Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) please upload your program acceptance letter that clearly states you are in a CDE approved program for Special Education Generalist and that the college/university are able and willing to sign off on all TEE paperwork.
  3. Must have a passing PRAXIS Elementary Education (Exam #5001 or #5018 only)
