Tax Season Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a respected accounting firm located in Olympia, WA, to fill an Office Administrator role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to join a professional, established team in a client-focused office environment.

This position is Evaluation to Hire, with a consistent schedule of Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the off-season, and expanded tax season hours of Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Compensation starts at $24-$27/hr, with a full benefits package upon hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary in-office point of contact for clients, answering phones, emails, and greeting visitors professionally
  • Manage calendars, appointments, and scheduling for multiple team members
  • Receive and process payments, prepare deposits, and assist with administrative accounting tasks
  • Coordinate client onboarding and maintain accurate records and files
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient office environment
  • Assist with daily workflow coordination and administrative support during busy tax season

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of office administration, customer service, or administrative support experience required
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace, and cloud-based systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or QuickBooks is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must have a Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to run errands as needed - milage reimbursement is paid
