Qualifications

  • Collaborative team players who work effectively with Project Managers and field personnel
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing project schedules and priorities
  • Willing to travel throughout the local area and surrounding regions as required

Responsibilities

Technical Skills, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Install ¾" and 1" conduit; conduit bending experience using hand benders is preferred
  • Perform rough-in installation of low-voltage cabling systems
  • Terminate low-voltage wiring within control panels and related equipment
  • Assist with the installation and integration of Building Management Systems (BMS); prior experience is preferred but not required
  • Support projects involving additional low-voltage systems such as fire alarm, access control, audiovisual (AV), telecommunications, and data systems
  • Coordinate field activities with other trades to ensure project schedules and objectives are met
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including field reports, change requests, delays, and communication records
  • Lead and supervise crews of 2–6 technicians, ensuring safety, productivity, quality workmanship, and ongoing training
  • Manage installation schedules, material requirements, and daily work assignments
  • Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Smartsheet for project tracking and communication

The physical demands of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Climbing ladders and stairs
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling tools, equipment, and materials
  • Working in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight
