Senior Data Scientist

The Sr. Data Scientist will conduct detailed analysis of data sets and provide advanced analytics solutions to solve business problems, whilst leveraging traditional statistical, machine learning and optimization techniques.

What your day to day looks like:
  • Transform complex databases compiled from different sources within the organization; Selecting and employing advanced statistical procedures to obtain actionable insights
  • Interpret, translate, and communicate analytical findings to business stakeholders through storytelling, visualization and conceptual parallels
  • Apply statistical or machine learning knowledge to specific business problems and data.
  • Develop innovative solutions for trend recognition using machine learning and advanced statistics. 
  • Use data science techniques to find data patterns, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
  • Execution, evaluation, and reporting of A/B testing amp; cross-validating models to ensure their generalizability
  • Producing and sharing non-technical reports that detail the successes and limitations of each project
  • Staying informed about developments in Data Science and adjacent fields to ensure that outputs are always relevant.

What you bring to the table:
  • Education in Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Methods, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in analytics / data science with a focus on driving business decisions.
  • Experience with developing Machine Learning and statistical models.
  • Excellent programming skills using notebook environments, e.g. Jupyter, Databricks, and familiarity with SQL, Python (including standard DS libraries like Pandas, Scipy, Numpy, Matplotlib), Spark, etc.
  • Solid problem-solving approach, using statistics, analytics and reports. 
  • Experience with Consumer Products, and/or analyzing user behavior to better drive business decisions. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to relay insights in layman's terms, such that these can be used to inform business decisions.
  • Capacity to foster a healthy, stimulating work environment that frequently harnesses teamwork.

  • Appliquer les connaissances statistiques ou d'apprentissage automatique à des problèmes commerciaux et des données spécifiques
  • Développer des solutions novatrices pour la reconnaissance des tendances en utilisant l'apprentissage automatique et les statistiques avancées
  • Utiliser des techniques de science des données pour identifier des modèles de données, des anomalies et des opportunités d'optimisation
  • Exécuter, évaluer et produire des rapports de tests A/B et de validation croisée des modèles pour assurer leur généralisation
  • Produire et partager des rapports non techniques détaillant les points forts et les limites de chaque projet
  • Se tenir informé des évolutions de la science des données et des domaines connexes pour s'assurer de la pertinence des résultats
Ce que vous apportez:
  • Une formation en statistiques, en mathématiques, en méthodes quantitatives ou dans un domaine connexe
  • Solide expérience en analytique / science des données, axée sur la prise de décisions commerciales
  • Expérience dans le développement de modèles statistiques et d'apprentissage automatique
  • Excellentes compétences en programmation à partir d'environnements notebook, par exemple Jupyter, Databricks, et familiarité avec SQL, Python (y compris les bibliothèques DS standard telles que Pandas, Scipy, Numpy, Matplotlib), Spark, etc
  • Solide approche en matière de résolution de problèmes, à l'aide de statistiques, d'analyses et de rapports 
  • Expérience des produits de consommation et/ou de l'analyse du comportement des utilisateurs pour mieux orienter les décisions commerciales 
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit
  • Capacité à relayer des idées en termes simples, de sorte qu'elles puissent être utilisées pour éclairer les décisions commerciales
