Who we're looking for


The Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Treasury Systems team is seeking a driven and technically skilled Technical Consultant specializing in Build and Software Engineering for Treasury Systems.
Reporting to the Manager of Treasury Systems and Processes, this role is primarily responsible for the design, build, configuration, and ongoing engineering of TFS Treasury systems, with a strong focus on Wall Street Suite (WSS) configuration across various treasury products. You will collaborate with stakeholders across TFS and its affiliates in Canada and Mexico to deliver robust, scalable treasury solutions that support financial and commercial transaction processing. This role requires deep technical expertise in system configuration, software engineering best practices, and treasury domain knowledge to ensure seamless integration and operation of treasury management systems.


What you'll be doing

  • Lead the build, configuration, and deployment of Wall Street Suite modules including transaction processing, cash management, and accounting to meet evolving business requirements.

  • Engineer and customize WSS configurations for new treasury products and services, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system enhancements, integrations, and custom applications supporting treasury operations.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize automated reports and dashboards for treasury stakeholders using SQL and treasury system tools.

  • Execute rigorous testing protocols including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to validate system builds and configurations.

  • Manage version control, documentation, and approval workflows as part of the treasury system's internal control framework.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to transaction processing, cash settlements, and accounting within WSS.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support operational needs and resolve application defects, including researching and addressing issues impacting WSS end users.

  • Participate in system upgrades, patch deployments, and technical enhancements to maintain system stability and performance.

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement within treasury systems engineering.

  • Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of build milestones and effective communication with all stakeholders.


What you bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.

  • Proven and progressive experience in system configuration, build, or software engineering roles within treasury or financial systems environments.

  • Solid understanding of treasury operations, accounting principles, and financial transaction workflows.

  • Strong proficiency in Wall Street Suite configuration and engineering.

  • Proficient in SQL and data analysis tools relevant to treasury systems.

  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control, testing methodologies, and documentation standards.

  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools such as JIRA.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new software tools quickly.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) is an asset.
