Role Overview:

Could you be our next Sr. Director, ERP Financial Technology Solutions? Globe Life is looking for a Sr. Director, ERP Financial Technology Solutions to join the team!

This role is responsible for overseeing ERP platforms that support financial consolidation and reporting across multiple life insurance subsidiaries, defining and executing a financial ERP strategy aligned with business objectives. The position ensures compliance with STAT, U.S. GAAP, SOX, and NAIC requirements while maintaining strong internal controls and leading system modernization initiatives. This leader manages a team of managers and ERP professionals, with accountability for budget oversight and vendor relationships with external consultants and system integrators.

This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, Texas (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee ERP platforms supporting general ledger, sub-ledger, and financial consolidation processes across multiple life insurance subsidiaries, ensuring system performance and data integrity.
  • Establish operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans for the Financial Technology Solutions (FTS) cost center, delegating assignments to subordinate managers and teams.
  • Define and execute the financial ERP strategy in alignment with Globe Life's business objectives and decentralized operating model, driving initiatives that contribute to multiple areas of the organization.
  • Lead ERP modernization efforts, including system upgrades, enhancements, and cloud transformation initiatives, serving as the primary decision-maker for unforeseen issues and tactical escalations.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on ERP initiatives, risks, and performance metrics, translating complex system and financial topics for executive audiences.
  • Enable accurate and timely financial close and reporting cycles across multiple insurance entities by maintaining system performance, data integrity, and process standardization.
  • Ensure seamless integration between ERP platforms and policy administration systems, actuarial valuation systems, enterprise data warehouses and third party applications which includes oversight of testing integrations into and out of the ledger resulting from changes made to the other platforms.
  • Develop, modify, and execute departmental policies that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effect, including governance frameworks for system architecture and change management.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory accounting from a financial systems requirements and processing standpoint for (STAT), U.S. GAAP, SOX, and NAIC.
  • Maintain strong internal control frameworks and audit readiness; partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Drive standardization of financial processes while accommodating entity-specific statutory regulatory reporting requirements across subsidiaries.
  • Serve as a key liaison related to the financial systems between Finance, IT, and Actuarial teams, applying knowledge to persuade and align stakeholders on desired departmental outcomes in sensitive and complex situations.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies to reduce manual processes, improve data quality, and control expenses in alignment with Globe Life's cost-conscious operating philosophy.
  • Manage the activities of first-level managers and experienced ERP professionals across two or more disciplines within the Financial Technology Solutions (FTS) cost center, including hiring, performance appraisals, and pay reviews.
  • Manage department budget with accountability for resource allocation and vendor relationships with external ERP consultants and system integrators.

What You Can Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related fieldrequired.
  • MBA, CPA, or other advanced professional designation preferred.
  • 12+ years of related professional experience in financial systems, ERP leadership, or finance transformationrequired; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of management experience overseeing teams, first-level managers, and/or enterprise-level ERP initiativesrequired.
  • Experience within a multi-entity insurance organization or decentralized operating model preferred.
  • Experience supporting statutory reporting and insurance regulatory filings preferred.
  • Familiarity with actuarial systems, policy administration platforms, and insurance data flows preferred.
