Your Next Career Opportunity - Director, Financial Applications
The Director, Financial Applications, is responsible for leading the strategy, architecture, modernization, delivery, and ongoing governance of the company's enterprise financial applications and ERP platforms. This role provides both leadership and deep technical direction across financial systems, application architecture, integration design, platform lifecycle management, controls, compliance support, and business process enablement. The Director works closely with Finance, Accounting, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Infrastructure, Data & Analytics, Internal Audit, Digital Transformation, and other business and technology leaders to ensure financial application platforms are secure, scalable, integrated, supportable, and aligned with business objectives. The role leads and mentors employees, contractors, and technology partners responsible for delivering, supporting, and evolving enterprise financial application capabilities.
What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy, architecture, modernization, and lifecycle management of enterprise financial applications and ERP platforms.
  • Define and govern application, solution, integration, and security architecture standards supporting the financial systems portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year financial applications and ERP technology roadmap aligned with business priorities, enterprise architecture standards, operational objectives, and digital transformation strategies.
  • Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to evaluate opportunities for process optimization, automation, operational efficiency, and application modernization.
  • Provide leadership across system analysis, solution design, application architecture, implementation planning, and operational support activities.

  • Support management of SOX-related controls, segregation of duties requirements, audit activities, access governance processes, and remediation initiatives within the financial applications environment.
  • Establish and maintain technical standards, operational controls, documentation expectations, support models, and service management practices.
  • Develop architectural designs and communicate recommendations effectively to technical teams, business stakeholders, executive leadership, and external partners.
  • Manage strategic relationships with vendors, software providers, implementation partners, consultants, and managed service providers.
  • Work directly with senior business leaders to gather requirements, evaluate technology solutions, prioritize work efforts, and deliver business value.
  • Ensure issue management, root cause analysis, escalation management, and problem resolution processes are effectively executed.
  • Monitor platform roadmaps, market trends, product capabilities, emerging technologies, security considerations, and industry best practices relevant to enterprise financial applications.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership to employees, contractors, and project teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement of business processes, technology solutions, governance practices, and operational models.

What You'll Need - Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
    • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive experience leading enterprise financial applications, ERP platforms, business applications, or related technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise application strategy, architecture, modernization, implementation, governance, and operational support functions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, solution design, integration architectures, cloud-based business applications, application lifecycle management, and technology governance.
  • Experience leading complex application implementation, upgrade, migration, modernization, or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Budgeting, and Financial Close processes.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, and risk management concepts, including SOX, IT General Controls (ITGC), COBIT, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), segregation of duties principles, access governance, and audit practices.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering effectively with Information Security, Risk Management, Enterprise Architecture, Internal Audit, Infrastructure, Data & Analytics, and business leadership organizations.
  • Ability to evaluate automation opportunities, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled business application capabilities and translate them into practical business value.
