Job description

Job Title: Application Analyst - Financial Systems Transition
Location is Tallahassee, FL - Hybrid 3 Days
Job Summary: THE CLIENT is seeking an experienced Application Analyst to support the transition to a statewide financial management solution. This role involves analyzing, documenting, and remediating applications and databases impacted by the system's implementation, working with both on-premises and cloud-based technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and document specifications for current web applications.
  • Develop remediation strategies for impacted applications and databases.
  • Collaborate with business users to optimize applications based on current needs and remediation constraints.
  • Remediate applications to align with the transition requirements.
  • Work with database administrators to create views and stored procedures supporting application remediation.
  • Analyze financial data models, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Use Azure DevOps for task management, code assets, and deployments.
  • Participate in scrum meetings and engage in collaborative activities with team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in ASP.NET, Angular or React, SQL Server, and/or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with on-premises and cloud-based applications, particularly Azure.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle RDBMS.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, Agile methodologies, and analytical problem-solving.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of full-stack development and SCRUM framework.
  • Familiarity with financial systems (ERP) and data management concepts like ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Lakes.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or Finance, or equivalent experience.
