Responsibilities
About the role:
In this role you will:
  • Duties include assisting in the development and support of complex models, analysis, and reporting related to remarketing pricing and cash flow projections
  • Ad hoc research projects incorporating project design, data collection and analysis, summarization of findings
  • Support recommendations for operational policies and procedures; ensure team compliance with such policies and procedures
  • Provide analytical support for auction optimization and related operational metrics
  • Aid with the evaluation of Remarketing Solutions programs for GM Financial off-lease vehicles and GM Certified Pre-Owned programs as it pertains to corporate profitability
  • Provide analytical support as needed to evaluate strategic corporate remarketing projects and initiatives as it pertains to corporate profitability

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of finance, statistics, accounting and/or financial services
  • Knowledge of financial concepts such as ROA, ROE, IRR and cash flow modeling
  • Knowledge with data mining tools such as Access, SAS and SQL
  • Knowledge of PC software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of auto finance industry
  • Working knowledge of dealer and reporting systems
  • Understanding of products and related work processes in area of responsibility
  • Knowledge of GM Financials core business functions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Intermediate skills in SAS, SQL

  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection

Work Experience & Education
  • 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, data mining, forecasting and reporting (preferably in automotive finance industry) required
  • High School Diploma
  • Associate Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Master's Degree in Business or related field preferred
