Software Developer, Mid

The Opportunity:

As a Junior Software developer, you can work independently with some guidance to resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. If you're looking for the chance to not just develop software, but to create a system that will make a difference, we need you on our team. We're looking for an experienced developer like you with object-oriented programming skills needed to develop, test, and deploy software.

This role is more than just coding. As a Junior Software developer at Booz Allen, you'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

  • Experience in software development
  • Experience in creating solutions to problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Knowledge of databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
  • Knowledge of programming languages, including C#, Python, or Java
  • Knowledge of version control, including Git
  • Knowledge of REST APIs
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 30 days of start date

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with DevSecOps CI/CD tools, including GitLab
  • Experience with C#, .NET and .NET Core, Web API, MVC, or LINQ
  • Experience with database technologies, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
  • Experience with Scripting languages, including PowerShell or Python
  • Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery, d3, React, or Vue
  • Experience with Containers, including Docker or Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
