The RoleNabis is seeking a reliable and motivated Operations Manager to support our upstate New York warehouse. This individual will be highly organized, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be motivated to take ownership of their site's accuracy and efficiency. This role is full-time and may at times include demanding hours. This position requires prior supervisor or manager-level experience in warehouse and/or distribution logistics.
The Operation Manager will report to the New York Director of Operations and will be responsible for maintaining a complete understanding of Nabis's central warehouse processes and the nuances of enterprise client relationships. The Manager will organize, oversee, and strategize the daily site operations while working closely with other Nabis hubs. They will work cross-functionally to support the streamlining of all new & existing processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment of intense pressure, short deadlines, and ever-changing requirements.
The shift will be swing shift, 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with a potential future transition to 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
As an Operations Manager, you'll play a critical leadership role in ensuring our New York operations run smoothly, efficiently, and at scale. You'll oversee daily warehouse operations while partnering cross-functionally to improve systems, elevate team performance, and deliver an exceptional experience to both brands and retailers.
You'll work closely with leaders across Operations, Engineering, Finance, Central Ops, and People teams to help shape the future of cannabis logistics.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations across inbound and outbound logistics
  • Drive operational excellence by improving efficiency, accuracy, and execution across the site
  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and associates in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
  • Monitor staffing, workflows, and daily volume to ensure SLA targets are consistently achieved
  • Own and improve key operational KPIs, including inventory accuracy, service quality, and DOTIF performance
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable operational solutions
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to streamline systems and optimize workflows
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, transportation partners, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal cannabis distribution regulations
  • Use data, analytics, and operational insights to continuously improve performance and customer satisfaction

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, or distribution operations
  • Experience managing teams of 30+ employees in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
  • A proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude with the ability to lead by example
  • Experience managing KPIs, SLAs, staffing, and operational performance metrics
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving business priorities in a high-growth startup environment
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, WMS, or other operational systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
  • Monday-Friday onsite availability
