Job description

Short Intro and About the Job

You will serve as a finance business partner supporting the sales directors and business development managers (BDMs) as your main stakeholders.  You will be responsible for trade spend governance, Net Sales variance analysis, identification of business risks and opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability. You will become a part of the customer business finance team (Sales Finance) already in place to ensure Danone's best interest with our customers.

More specifically:

  • Acting as the finance partner to the Customer Business Teams (CBT) to ensure alignment with the strategic vision of the organization and enable delivery of key financial objectives:
  • Developing robust financial planning and target setting processes for your customers
  • Responsible for the monthly trade spends follow up, level of balance sheet provisions & Net Sales variance analysis with the sales team
  • Evaluating and analyzing the business risk/opportunities and propose action plans to the sales team
  • Building Business cases for incremental investment at customers
  • Supporting the deduction process between sales and receivable teams based in the United States
  • Enforcing trade compliance through governance and tight control of Trade Spend programs as well as ensuring adherence to internal controls
  • Working with the Customer Finance Team to enhance existing tools & create new ones to enhance sales finance analytics
  • Use external data from clients and the market to enrich internal analyses

The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000.00 to $110,000.00 CAD. The final salary offered will be determined by factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity and external market conditions.

About You
  • University degree in business administration with Finance or accounting;
  • CPA designation is an asset;
  • 5 years of experience including controlling / financial analyses;
  • Advanced Excel skills;
  • FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) net sales controlling experience would be an asset;
  • Motivation to implement new processes and to improve existing ones;
  • Ability to build productive and positive business relationships, ability to listen and to influence others;
  • Comfortable to work with multiple complex systems and with a large quantity of data (SAP, TPM system & BI);
  • Comfortable with Power BI, PowerQuery
  • French is an asset

En tant que Gestionnaire Finance Ventes, vous travaillerez en etroite collaboration avec le directeur des ventes et les gestionnaires du developpement des affaires. Vous serez responsable de l'analyse et du controle des depenses commerciales, de l'analyse des variations du chiffre d'affaires, de l'identification des risques et opportunites pour maximiser les revenus et la rentabilite. Vous ferez partie de l'equipe commerciale de la Finance deja en place pour assurer le meilleur interet de Danone aupres de nos clients.

Plus specifiquement :

  • Etre un partenaire cle de l'equipe des ventes afin d'assurer que les plans clients soient coherents avec les objectifs financiers de Danone,
  • Participer a la definition des objectifs (pour les clients dont vous avez la charge), et valider la robustesse de la planification financiere
  • Animer mensuellement le suivi des depenses commerciales, le niveau de provisions au bilan ainsi que l'analyse des variations du chiffre d'affaires avec l'equipe des ventes
  • Evaluer et analyser les risques et les opportunites, et proposer des plans d'action aux equipes commerciales
  • Monter les "business cases" supportant les demandes de nouveaux investissements aupres des clients,
  • Supporter le processus de deductions avec l'equipe des ventes et l'equipe des comptes recevables basee aux Etats Unis
  • Assurer la qualite de nos provisions pour depenses commerciales, et le respect de nos procedures de controle interne
  • Travailler avec les equipes commerciales pour ameliorer les outils existants, proposer des ameliorations
  • Utiliser les donnees externes provenant des clients et du marche afin d'enrichir les analyses internes

La fourchette de salaire annuel de base pour ce poste est de 72,000.00 $ a 110,000.00 $CA. Le salaire final offert sera determine en fonction de facteurs tels que l'experience pertinente et les qualifications, l'equite interne et les conditions du marche externe.
