  • Provides professional accounting support by:
    • Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining financial records and supporting documentation.
    • Preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting workpapers.
    • Reviewing financial transactions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established accounting procedures.
    • Researching and resolving routine accounting discrepancies.
  • Provides financial reporting support by:
    • Compiling and analyzing financial information for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
    • Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
    • Preparing spreadsheets, schedules, and supporting documentation for financial reporting..
  • Provides fiscal operations support by:
    • Assisting with monitoring revenues, expenditures, budgets, grants, cash activity, or other assigned fiscal functions.
    • Maintaining organized accounting records in accordance with department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree plus 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional work experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up.
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Teams, and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.

DESIRED:
  • Advanced degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience maintaining financial records or preparing accounting reports.
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience using accounting or enterprise financial systems.
  • Minimum 1 year professional experience interpreting and applying accounting policies and procedures.

SALARY: 40-50k
