Position Summary

AdvoCare is seeking a high-performing Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (FP&A) to serve as a strategic business partner to the Chief Financial Officer and executive leadership team. This role will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, executive reporting, and analytics while partnering closely with the Accounting organization to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of progressive FP&A experience, preferably within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), eCommerce, consumer products, or retail environment, and possesses expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Forecasting
  • Partner with Controller on the annual budgeting process
  • Lead the creation & development of the rolling monthly forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain integrated Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow models.
  • Build driver-based financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with department leaders on budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend actions.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Prepare Board of Directors presentations and supporting analyses.
  • Perform variance analysis versus Budget, Forecast, Prior Year, and Strategic Plan.
  • Present financial results and recommendations to executive leadership.
Business Analytics
  • Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, customer acquisition, pricing, promotions, inventory, and profitability.
  • Evaluate marketing effectiveness, CAC, LTV, ROAS, and channel profitability.
  • Develop business cases for investments and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses.
Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT.
  • Support month-end close through financial analysis and commentary.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning and reporting processes.
Process Improvement
  • Automate reporting and improve financial processes.
  • Enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Champion FP&A best practices.
  • Improve financial data quality and accessibility.
QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of progressive FP&A experience.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), eCommerce, consumer products, or retail.
  • Strong understanding of the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, executive reporting, Board reporting, variance analysis, and KPI development.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, including complex financial modeling, advanced formulas, dynamic arrays, PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot, dashboards, and scalable driver-based models. VBA or automation experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Preferred
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial planning software.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
  • Experience supporting Boards of Directors and executive leadership.
