Ascension Global Staffing & Execuitve Search is seeking a Probate & Estate Planning Associate Attorney to join its Fort Lauderdale office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with estate planning and probate experience who is looking to work closely with high-net-worth individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners on sophisticated wealth preservation, tax planning, trust administration, and probate matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related instruments.
  • Advise clients regarding wealth transfer, estate tax, gift tax, and asset protection strategies.
  • Manage probate and trust administration matters from inception through closing.
  • Assist clients with guardianship proceedings and fiduciary representation matters.
  • Research and analyze federal estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax issues.
  • Collaborate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans.
  • Participate in client meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide exceptional client service while managing multiple matters efficiently.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
  • LL.M. in Taxation required.
  • Minimum 3 + years of experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, and related tax matters.
  • Strong understanding of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax concepts.
  • Experience drafting sophisticated estate planning documents for high-net-worth clients preferred.
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
