South Shore Retirement Services—a fast-paced, independent financial advisory firm in Hingham, MA—is seeking a Financial Planning Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll work directly with our advisory team, supporting advisors with the day-to-day work surrounding client meetings and financial planning. The ideal candidate is eager to grow their career in the financial industry and contribute to our firm's ongoing success.
What You’ll Do:
  • Preparing and processing client and account paperwork
  • Preparing for advisor meetings and financial plans
  • Sitting in in client meetings when needed
  • Taking meeting notes and entering notes and follow-up items into our CRM
  • Assisting with the preparation and updating of financial plans
  • Gathering statements, reports, and other information needed for meetings
  • Tracking outstanding paperwork and advisor follow-up items
  • Working with our operations and service teams to help move client matters through completion
What We’re Looking For:
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, banking, insurance, mortgage processing, or a related field within a fast-paced office environment
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency and confidence working across various platforms and operating systems including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM’s (HubSpot, Redtail or Salesforce)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication; written and verbal
  • Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently
  • Demonstrates strong integrity and a commitment to ethical conduct, especially when handling confidential client information and financial matters
Bonus Points:
  • Experience working in the financial industry and in supporting financial advisors is a plus!
  • Series 65, Series 66 or similar is a plus!
