Job Summary:
The Intern, Financial Planning will assist our staff members in servicing high net worth and ultra high net worth clients through holistic financial planning and client relationship support. This position provides the opportunity to develop foundational advisory, consultative, communication and EQ, and business development skills through hands-on experience supporting advisors through client onboarding, meeting preparation, and the creation of financial plans, and delivery of exceptional client experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Support client onboarding by preparing and processing necessary paperwork.
โ€ข Assist in scheduling client meetings and developing clear, engaging materials to explain financial concepts.
โ€ข Observe client meetings (where appropriate) to gain firsthand experience in how advisors build relationships and solve client challenges.
โ€ข Participate in client meeting follow-up tasks including documentation, research, and solution development.
โ€ข Contribute ideas during team discussions on improving client service and business development opportunities.
โ€ข Support client service activities, including account maintenance and money movement processes.
โ€ข Use financial planning and CRM software to assist with plan development and data management.
โ€ข Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling plan deliverables.
โ€ข Collaborate with team members on special projects and client service initiatives.
Required Education and Experience:
โ€ข Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with an expected graduation date within 12 months of the start of the internship
โ€ข Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities
Preferred Education and Experience:
โ€ข Major in wealth management, financial planning, finance, or a related field.
โ€ข Interest in pursuing a client-facing advisory career, with a focus on business development and relationship management.
Skills:

โ€ข Excellent organizational and time management skills.
โ€ข Detail-oriented with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
โ€ข Comfortable contributing ideas in group settings.
