Job description

Lead Operations. Advance Strategy. Impact Rural Healthcare.
Citizens Memorial Healthcare is seeking an accomplished, visionary leader to serve as Chief Operations Officer (COO). Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO provides executive leadership and oversight of operational divisions, service line integration, operational performance improvement, workforce alignment, facility portions, information technology, supply chain management and organizational growth initiatives across the health system, ensuring excellence in patient care, service delivery, operational performance, and strategic growth.
This leader will partner closely with executive leadership, physicians, medical staff, operational leaders and the Board of Directors to advance organizational goals, improve operational effectiveness, foster employee engagement, and support CMH's mission of providing exceptional healthcare services to the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide executive leadership for designated operational and support service departments.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead operational planning, performance improvement initiatives, and resource optimization efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards.
  • Partner with physicians and clinical leaders to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and patient experience.
  • Oversee facility operations, capital projects, and infrastructure planning as assigned.
  • Monitor operational performance through key performance indicators and data-driven decision-making.
  • Support recruitment, development, and retention of high-performing leaders and staff.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7- 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex operational divisions and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong financial, operational, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and change management abilities.
  • Experience working within a multi-site healthcare delivery system preferred.
