Description
JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Compute, classify, and record numerical data for inventory records of Finished Goods. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain accurate inventory information of Finished Goods on hand. Cycle Counter / forklift operator will also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, Bin Accuracy and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
Support and ensure compliance with all programs, policies, and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Management System. Fulfill assigned food safety and regulatory responsibilities in accordance with the SQF Food Safety Code, including promptly reporting any concerns to initiate corrective action. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and EOS. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Count all Finished Good inventory items over the course of a 12 month cycle based on direction of Warehouse Supervisor
• Operate calculator, printer/scanner, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents for completions of cycle counts.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of Finished Goods investigate discrepancies; using these counts to adjust inventory after approval of the cycle count for individual items.
• Verify Bin accuracy by scanning Pallets and identify correct location
• Use handheld scanner to assist in counting and verifying inventory.
• Relocate any Finished Goods in open Bins
• Initiate and assist in developing corrective actions for inventory discrepancies and missing inventory.
• Participate in semiannual physical inventory as requested.
• Additional Task's may be requested by Warehouse Supervisor or Manager

Experience:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of cycle counting and Forklift Operating responsibilities or industry knowledge.
Education Level and Focus:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Willingness to continue education through approved courses or classes that will enhance personal and professional growth.

Physical or Mental Demands:
Job requires some lifting, ability to develop follow set procedures for counting materials, ability to work in a sometimes-stressful environment, and strong attention to detail. Must be certified to drive a forklift. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
Work Environment:
Administrative, warehouse cold & wet, icy floors, forklift and pedestrian traffic. This is a Safety Sensitive Position.
Special Equipment Used:
Using computers and computer systems (software) to set up functions, enter data, track, or process information.
