Director of Finance
Location: Athens, Tennessee
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary
The Director of Finance provides financial and accounting support for AttachCo's accounting and financial operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company's financial reporting while supporting scalable processes that enable continued growth across multiple manufacturing facilities.
Success in this role requires strong technical accounting expertise and collaboration skills. The Director of Finance must be comfortable managing the monthly close, supporting finance team development, partnering with operations leaders, and providing financial insight that helps drive informed business decisions.
Scope of Responsibility
The Director of Finance provides support across:
  • Multi-entity accounting and financial reporting
  • Manufacturing and distribution operations
  • Financial consolidations and internal controls
  • Treasury and cash reporting

  • Continuous improvement of financial systems and processes

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations Support
  • Support all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Support financial consolidations across multiple business units.
  • Maintain and improve strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Support annual audits and serve as a liaison with external auditors.

Business Partnership
  • Support operational leaders by providing financial visibility and analysis to improve business performance.
  • Translate financial data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Support capital investment analysis, operational initiatives, and profitability improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate across departments to strengthen financial discipline and accountability.

Financial Planning & Analysis Support
  • Support the CFO in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and operational objectives.
  • Assist with long-range financial planning and business analysis.
  • Support executive leadership with financial modeling and ad hoc analysis.

Treasury & Financial Stewardship
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital performance.
  • Support banking relationships and financing activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cash management and financial efficiency.
  • Ensure financial risks are identified and appropriately managed.

Process Improvement
  • Standardize financial processes across manufacturing locations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Support ERP optimization and future technology initiatives.
  • Develop scalable financial processes that support organizational growth.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting accounting or finance teams.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced ERP and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Preferred
  • CPA designation.
  • MBA
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Multi-entity accounting experience.
  • Experience with cost accounting.
  • Financial planning & analysis (FP&A) experience.
