This position is accountable for assisting in the operations for a terminal location.

Essential Functions
  • Supervise performance of drivers
  • Conduct interviews and hire drivers
  • Work closely with dispatchers on troubleshooting items such as delivery issues, driver training program, staffing levels, customer requests/complaints, etc.
  • Approve/Deny driver PTO requests, manage annual vacation schedule, create weekly driver schedule for dispatch
  • Assist in the forecasting of terminal performance and analyze terminal financial information
  • Ensure maximum asset utilization
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in business related field or equivalent business experience in the transportation industry
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to influence
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
