Job description

LHH Recruitment is partnered with a Property Management company in Scottsdale, AZ that is looking for an Operations Manager to join the team. This is an onsite full-time Monday through Friday position. Pay range is $30.00-$35.00 per hour depending on prior experience.
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a property management portfolio, ensuring properties are maintained efficiently, residents receive high-quality service, and financial performance targets are achieved. This role serves as a key leader, driving operational excellence across leasing, maintenance, vendor management, and team performance.
Job Duties
  • Oversee daily operations across commercial properties within the portfolio
  • Ensure properties are well-maintained, fully operational, and meeting revenue goals
  • Implement and standardize operational processes, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and service levels across all sites
  • Manage, coach, and support property managers, leasing teams, and maintenance staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Analyze property performance and implement cost-control or revenue-enhancement strategies
  • Oversee rent collections, expense tracking, and vendor payments
  • Oversee maintenance operations, including preventative, routine, and emergency repairs
  • Source, negotiate, and manage third-party vendors and service contracts
  • Ensure timely completion of work orders and adherence to quality standards
  • Lead capital improvement and renovation projects
  • Resolve escalated tenant issues, complaints, and disputes
  • Ensure all properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Maintain adherence to fair housing laws, safety codes, and company policies
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Prepare and present operational and financial reports to senior leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 3+ years of recent experience in property management or real estate operations (commercial), OR project coordinator in the construction industry experience
  • 2+ years of operations experience
  • Strong knowledge of property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage)
  • In-depth understanding of landlord-tenant laws and regulatory requirements
