Job description

Trade Operations Analyst - Quincy, MA

We are seeking candidates for a Trade Operations Analyst position to join a leading financial services firm located in Quincy, MA. This position will be responsible for routine operational activities, including nightly pricing, trade processing, researching discrepancies, and responding to internal and external client inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in building a career within the investment management industry.

This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire position that will pay $30-35/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position supports a hybrid work model (onsite 4 days per week, remote 1 day per week). 

Responsibilities:

  • Support nightly pricing and related investment management operational processes.

  • Process, review, and confirm investment trades accurately and within established deadlines.

  • Research and resolve routine trade errors, processing failures, discrepancies, and exceptions.

  • Investigate and respond to routine inquiries from internal teams and external clients.

  • Identify discrepancies and take appropriate action to resolve routine operational issues.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure transactions and data are processed in accordance with established procedures.

  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding transaction status, issues, and resolutions.

  • Escalate complex or non-routine issues to senior team members as appropriate.

  • Follow established operational controls, procedures, and compliance requirements.

  • Assist with additional investment operations projects and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.

  • 1-3 years of relevant investment operations or financial services experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to research issues, identify discrepancies, and follow through to resolution.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Interest in investment management, trade operations, and financial markets.
