ChristianaCare Oncology Hematology is located within the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute at 4701 Ogletown Stanton Road, Suite 2300 in Newark, Delaware.

ChristianaCare Oncology Hematology is a top provider of cancer and blood disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and malignant/solid tumor cancers in various body parts. This position functions primarily in a call center environment with limited face-to-face patient interaction. The role maintains the core responsibilities of an Office Assistant, including managing phone communications, scheduling appointments, coordinating patient information, and providing administrative support to ensure efficient office operations. Strong customer service, multitasking, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Work Schedule:

  • Mondays through Fridays:8:00am - 4:30pm

Duties / Responsibilities:
TheMedical Office Assistant Ihandles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments. They manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff. The role includes updating patients, scheduling tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, resolving patient issues, supporting administrative tasks, and following safety protocols, with additional duties as needed.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.67 - $25.62This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
