Job Description
Schnucks' Intern Program is an immersive corporate internship based from our St. Louis, Missouri headquarters. Interns gain real-world experience in their designated department, and collaborate on a cross-functional, inter-disciplinary group project to present at the end of the summer. These are paid internships that require full-time attendance during the summer and part-time attendance during the school year.
The Year-Round Finance Internship offers a unique experience by exposing interns to virtually every area within our Finance department (budgeting processes, financial analysis, financial reporting, forecasting and fiscal closing processes). Our internship program provides each intern with meaningful hands-on opportunities to build a solid professional foundation so that they are able to successfully start their careers after graduation.
Our department has a peer and team-oriented environment with several dedicated mentors. This structure will afford you the opportunity to work with other students from several other business programs. This internship also includes exposure and interaction with several key senior leaders of the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with advanced financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop skills in Excel, PeopleSoft (FSCM software), Domo, Alteryx, and GSuite.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Learn valuable workplace skills in a real-world environment.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Required Education: Current and Spring 2027 enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree program, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or Mathematics and completed at least 30 credit hours.
  • Available to work full-time Monday through Friday during the summer and part-time during the school year.
  • Minimum GPA 3.5 preferred.
  • Interest in Schnucks advancement post-graduation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets and working knowledge of MS Office/Google.
  • Motivated to learn and detail oriented.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Must be able to work remotely as necessary.
  • Displays values consistent with Schnucks' COMET culture.

Additional Requirements - Internal Candidates:
  • Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
  • Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
  • Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
  • If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
