Job description

Swank Motion Pictures is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance team for Summer 2027. This internship is designed for a rising Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment.

Throughout the summer, the intern will rotate between the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, gaining exposure to the full accounting cycle while learning how financial transactions support business operations. Working alongside experienced accounting professionals, the intern will develop practical skills in financial processes, internal controls, customer and vendor interactions, and reporting while contributing to meaningful projects that improve efficiency and accuracy.

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist in analyzing financial, sales, and operational data to identify trends and business insights.
  • Support pricing and profitability analysis to better understand revenue drivers.
  • Help prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for business leaders.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to evaluate campaign performance and customer trends.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to support strategic initiatives.
  • Learn to build and maintain Excel-based financial models and analytical tools.
  • Assist with data validation and reporting accuracy through root-cause analysis.
  • Present your summer project and key findings to department leaders at the conclusion of the internship.
