What You'll Do
  • Responsible for all financial accounting systems, workflows, and related processes. 
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly financial statements, rolling budget forecasts, and key management reports. 
  • Partner with the ownership and leadership teams to develop annual budgets. 
  • Interpret data trends and provide insights and recommendations necessary to achieve established financial goals. 
  • Lead and manage the monthly and annual accounting closing. 
  • Evaluate and maintain effective internal controls which protect company assets and support reliable reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal financial, payroll, tax, and reporting requirements.
  • Lead, train and mentor the accounting and administrative team members.
  • Coordinate with external corporate tax, banking, insurance, and other professional partners.
  • All other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible accounting or financial management experience, with direct experience in the key responsibilities outlined above.    
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting financial reporting, and job-cost accounting principles is required.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and improving accounting software and financial-reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and related monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into practical recommendations. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels. Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Experience in managing team members, balancing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • CPA, CMA or MBA credentials are welcome but not required with relevant experience.
  • Construction or other job-cost accounting experience preferred but not required.
