20-30 Hours Per Week  (Consistently 30+ Hours Qualifies for Benefits)

Position Summary:
The Finance Manager will partner closely with the Managing Partner to oversee the financial operations of our growing consulting firm, as well as support clients requiring financial management services. This role will contribute to financial planning and analysis, budgeting, reporting, and strategic decision-making, while also managing internal functions including bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing, and general accounting for V2V. This is a primarily on-site position in Boise, Idaho and is profiled at 30-40 hours per week. Work hours within the Pacific and/or Mountain Time Zones.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
 
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements 
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes 
  • Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis 
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems 
Strategic Financial Support
  • Partner with leadership to support business planning and growth initiatives 
  • Develop financial models to evaluate new services, clients, and investments 
  • Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency 
Revenue & Project Financial Oversight
  • Track project-based revenue, margins, and utilization metrics 
  • Support pricing strategies and contract financial review 
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition 
Accounting & Compliance
  • Oversee and complete day-to-day accounting functions (AP/AR, payroll coordination, general ledger) 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards 
  • Manage external relationships (CPA firm, auditors, tax advisors) 
Process Improvement
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and workflows 
  • Support automation and scalability of financial operations
Position Requirements:
·         Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred) 
·         5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience 
·         Experience in healthcare and/or consulting/professional services (preferred)
·         Strong financial modeling and analytical skills 
·         Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Excel 
·         Experience working in a distributed team environment 
·         Excellent communication and ability to translate financial insights for non-financial stakeholders
