Position: Finance Intern

Job Summary

The Finance Intern is a member of Boyd's Corporate Finance team. This position's primary responsibility is performing various accounting and clerical work for the Corporate Finance Department.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate finance records, including scanning and filing.
  • Complete daily transactions.
  • Perform weekly check runs and reconciliations.
  • Maintain onsite and offsite record retention for Accounting and all related areas.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures as needed.
  • Continued process improvements.
  • Assist with routine audits (i.e., 401k, Workers Compensation).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Enrolled in a four-year university with a declared major in finance, business, or related field.
  • Students already enrolled in advanced level courses - Preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and use of a PC.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit at a desk in for 6-8 hours daily.
