Job Summary:

As an Accounting and Finance Intern at Centrus Energy, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the financial operations that power a leading energy technology company. Working alongside experienced accounting and finance professionals, you'll learn how financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis help guide strategic decisions and maintain strong financial performance. This internship offers a practical look at how financial data is gathered, analyzed, and communicated-giving you real-world experience that will help launch your career in accounting, finance, or corporate business operations.
 

What You Will Do

Step into the world of corporate finance and help turn financial data into meaningful insights. As an Accounting and Finance Intern, you'll assist with preparing financial reports, analyzing budget and expense data, and supporting general accounting activities. You may help reconcile accounts, review transactions, support month-end close processes, and assist with documentation for internal reporting. You'll collaborate with team members across finance, accounting, and other departments to understand how financial information supports operational decisions. By the end of the internship, you'll present your key contributions, insights, and lessons learned to the team.

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or graduate program in accounting, finance, or a related business field
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
  • Interest in financial reporting, corporate finance, or business analysis

A Successful Candidate Brings:

  • Coursework or internship experience involving accounting principles, financial analysis, or business reporting

Estimated Starting Pay Range: $22/hr - $25/hr. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.


In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test and vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively.  Such access is required for the performance of this position.
