Job description

Stilt is a mission-driven (YC W16) fintech startup focused on providing loan access and banking services to immigrants and other underserved applicants. We are building a product to improve financial inclusion and democratize access to credit, such as providing loans with no cosigner required and low-interest rates with no hidden fees. Founded by an immigrant team with expertise in finance, technology, and machine learning, Stilt has now served immigrants from 150+ countries!
What will you do?
- Design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems in the Stilt production environment
- Scale infrastructure so that we can support millions of requests per hour
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
- Improve code quality design, and overall design of current and future infrastructure
Requirements
- You are a python master
- Love building APIs using Flask/Django/FastAPI or any other modern framework
- Enjoy building scalable APIs
- Enjoy tackling difficult scaling challenges
- Take pride in completing a project, and shipping it to the end-user
- Have a growth mindset, and constantly learning and improving engineering as well as interpersonal skills
- Keep yourself accountable for work, by keeping track of key metrics for yourself
- Thrive in a multidisciplinary team and like solving difficult problems
