What is Financial Finesse?

Financial Finesse is a financial wellness company that provides unbiased financial education and guidance to employees through workplace programs. Their services include online tools, workshops, and access to certified financial planners who help individuals improve their financial literacy and make informed decisions. Unlike financial advisors who may sell products, Financial Finesse does not sell financial products or accept commissions, ensuring their advice is objective. Their goal is to help people manage their money better, reduce financial stress, and achieve long-term financial goals.

What are some common challenges faced by Financial Finesse coaches when working with employees from diverse financial backgrounds?

Financial Finesse Coaches often encounter employees with a wide range of financial literacy levels and unique personal circumstances. One common challenge is tailoring advice to address varying needs, from basic budgeting to complex retirement planning, while maintaining confidentiality and trust. Coaches must also stay up-to-date on relevant financial regulations and resources to provide accurate, actionable guidance. Collaborating closely with HR teams and maintaining clear communication is essential for fostering engagement and helping employees feel comfortable seeking help.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Financial Wellness coach, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Financial Wellness Coach, you need a solid understanding of personal finance, budgeting, and investment principles, typically backed by a degree in finance or a related field. Familiarity with financial planning software, CRM systems, and certifications like CFP or AFC is often expected. Excellent communication, empathy, and motivational skills help coaches effectively guide clients toward their financial goals. These competencies are vital to build trust, provide actionable advice, and empower individuals to make informed financial decisions.

Job description

About the Role
Financial Finesse is the leading independent global provider of unbiased financial coaching as an employee benefit, helping employers improve employee financial wellness while delivering measurable ROI. Our clients include some of the world's largest multinational companies, and we are driven by a mission to empower people to achieve financial independence through thoughtful, innovative solutions.
Our model is B2B2C: we sell to employers while ultimately serving their employees through expert financial coaching and technology. That means understanding both the business case for the employer and the experience we create for employees.
We are hiring a Sales Executive who is early in a promising sales career and wants to learn enterprise selling in a dynamic, mission-driven organization. In this role, you will work directly with senior sellers on live Fortune 1000 opportunities, take ownership of parts of the sales process quickly, and grow into managing your own opportunities. This is a role for someone who is comfortable creating structure, acting without detailed direction, learning quickly from what works and what does not, and continuing to move opportunities forward.
Because you will learn the sales motion from the inside, you will also help strengthen it by turning what you learn into practical playbooks, tools, and pipeline discipline that improve team performance.
Work arrangement: This is a remote position with periodic meetings at our El Segundo, CA headquarters and 10-20% travel to prospects, clients, and industry events.
Core Responsibilities
  • Learn and support the enterprise sales process by working alongside senior sellers on live deals involving enterprise buyers, benefits consultants, and committee-driven decision cycles
  • Own early-stage pipeline work, including prospect research, lead generation, qualification, meeting preparation, RFP support, and follow-through that keeps opportunities advancing
  • Take on direct selling responsibility quickly as capability is demonstrated, beginning with mid-size opportunities and expanding scope over time
  • Build relationships across the HR, benefits, and consultant ecosystem and represent Financial Finesse at industry events
  • Document sales playbooks, including call structures, positioning, objection handling, and deal stories that support future sellers
  • Maintain accurate CRM and email list data and help improve how those tools are used across the sales process
  • Support pipeline and forecast reviews with accurate information, thoughtful questions, and strong follow-through
Required Skills & Abilities
  • 5-8 years of B2B sales experience in business development, account management, consulting, or related client-facing roles, with demonstrated results
  • Experience selling services or other intangible offerings preferred; exposure to HR, benefits, retirement, or financial services is helpful
  • Ability to create structure and maintain momentum in an evolving environment without waiting for detailed direction
  • Strong relationship-building skills and sound judgment in navigating different stakeholders, including the confidence to ask direct questions when needed
  • Comfort learning from experienced sellers, applying feedback, and adopting a proven sales approach
  • Strong pipeline discipline, documentation habits, and working knowledge of CRM tools
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve day-to-day work, research, preparation, and execution
  • A willingness to test approaches, learn quickly from results, and adjust. We tend to think in terms of "win or learn."
Compensation & Benefits
  • Total compensation includes a base salary plus performance-based bonus opportunities, along with participation in cash-based profit sharing and equity programs
  • Competitive benefits package including employer-paid medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • HSA and FSA options
  • 401(k) match with immediate vesting
  • Paid parental leave
  • Generous PTO and paid sick days
  • Education stipend
  • Best-in-class financial wellness coaching resources for employees, friends, and family
