Job Summary
Student will attend all weekly laboratory classes and assist the instructor with answering student questions and grading, along with other tasks as assigned by the instructor. If online sessions are required, student would need to hold virtual office hours. Compiling rock kits also will be required.
Required Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at UWG in a minimum of 6 credit hours with a 2.0 GPA or higher
• Teaching assistants must have received a B or higher in the laboratory class they are assisting with.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

• Requires some standing in classroom.

Preferred Qualifications
Teaching assistants are selected on the basis of faculty recommendation, academic skill, leadership, character, and the ability to communicate well with others. They are expected to have extensive knowledge of the subject matter they are working with. Assistants should maintain high ethical and professional standards.
