DMI, LLC is seeking a PeopleSoft Finance Lead Developer in a specialized role that requires a combination of technical and functional expertise in PeopleSoft Financials modules. This role involves working closely with business users and technical teams to implement, enhance, and support PeopleSoft Financials applications within an organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyze business processes and requirements related to financial management, accounting, procurement, and other finance-related functions.
  • Configure PeopleSoft Financials modules to align with business requirements. This includes setting up general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, cash management, and other finance-related configurations.
  • Develop and modify PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and other PeopleSoft development tools.
  • Support integration of PeopleSoft Financials modules with other third-party applications to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Provide technical and functional support to end-users and resolve issues related to PeopleSoft Financials applications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the PeopleSoft Finance applications.
  • Assist in data migration and conversion.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close.
  • Support financial audit requirements.
  • Conduct peer reviews.
  • Troubleshoot functional or business process issues related to WMATA applications and systems.
  • Translate relevant application/system configuration to respective users, IT staff, and IT management.
  • Configure or reconfigure in-house tools for administration purposes or to support WMATAโ€™s business processes.
  • Develop complex queries for reporting purposes.
  • Create functional design diagrams and present proposed solutions in the form of design reviews.
  • Work with other functional analysts and developers to determine the best technical approach, learn new functionality and features of in-house tools as new versions are released, and educate the user community.
  • Prepare requirements documents and report mockups.
  • Develop training materials.

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or three (3) years of additional applicable experience.
  • Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience

 Required Skills & Certifications: 

  • 8+ years of functional experience related to financial management, accounting, procurement, and other finance-related functions.
  • Configure PeopleSoft Financials modules to align with business requirements. This includes setting up chart of accounts, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset management, cash management, and other finance-related configurations.
  • Develop and modify PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and other PeopleSoft development tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Functional experience using e-business software products such as PeopleSoft that includes product configuration, requirements gathering, and developing training materials.
  • Experience with databases such as ORACLE, SQL Server, SYBASE, INFORMIX, and DB2.

 Preferred Requirements:

  • Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • PeopleSoft certified.
  • Experience in working with third-party systems.
  • Experience in cloud-based PeopleSoft deployments.
