Part-Time Accounting Support

Department: Finance and Accounting

Position Summary

Therma-Stor is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Support team member to assist the Finance and Accounting department with daily administrative and accounting activities. This entry-level position provides valuable hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment and is ideal for someone looking to build foundational accounting and finance skills.

The successful candidate will be organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working with financial data, invoices, and accounting records while supporting the overall efficiency of the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice entry and coding
  • Support account reconciliations and maintenance of accounting records
  • Assist with data entry and validation of financial information
  • Organize and maintain electronic and paper accounting documents
  • Support month-end closing activities and reporting processes
  • Help prepare spreadsheets, reports, and financial schedules
  • Research and resolve basic invoice or payment discrepancies
  • Assist with vendor setup and record maintenance
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and document management
  • Support special accounting and finance projects as assigned
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
  • Assist with Audit requests.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous office, administrative, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience
