Job description

Adecco is immediately hiring a Financial Controller. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company while also providing forward-looking financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and can operate effectively both as a detail-oriented accountant and a strategic analytical partner to leadership.

Typically Reports to:

  • President/CEO

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US citizen or permanent legal resident.

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

  • Must have the ability to work efficiently and work well in a team environment.

  • Must be punctual and have good attendance.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.

  • 4-7 years of progressive accounting and/or financial analysis experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle accounting operations

  • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting external audits

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA required!

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, or job-shop environment strongly preferred

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent ERP)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, financial modeling, and data analysis

  • Solid understanding of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and manufacturing finance

  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise reports for non-financial stakeholders

  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data integrity and deadlines

  • Self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative working style

Physical Demands and Activity:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Lift minimum of 15 pounds

Main Functions:

  • Oversee all general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and banking relationships.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting.

  • Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation tracking, and capital expenditure reports.

  • Establish, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls and accounting policies.

  • Develop and maintain operating budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

  • Prepare management reports and ad hoc analyses for leadership review.

  • Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead; identify cost reduction opportunities.

  • Monitor gross margins by product line and customer segment; provide actionable insights.

  • Support strategic initiatives including pricing decisions, capital investments, and contract profitability analysis.

  • Evaluate financial performance trends and present findings with clear recommendations for ownership.

  • Assess with evaluation of vendor contracts, equipment purchases, and lease vs. buy scenarios.

  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.

  • Maintain a clean work area.

  • Perform proficiently at a quality standard set by the company’s mission and commitment statement.

Additional Functions:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
