Director of Finance / Controller - Permanent role
Timonium, MD


We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance / Controller to lead both the strategic and day-to-day financial operations of a growing law firm. This role is ideal for a hands-on Controller, Director of Finance, or CFO who can provide financial leadership while managing accounting operations.
Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Prepare financial reports and business insights
  • Manage multi-entity accounting
  • Oversee AP, payroll, commissions, and cash flow
  • Manage treasury functions
  • Administer 401(k) and HSA financial processes
  • Improve financial controls and operational processes
  • Partner with executive leadership to support business growth

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
  • Experience as a Controller, Director of Finance, or hands-on CFO
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling skills
  • Multi-entity accounting experience
  • Payroll and financial reporting experience
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
