Job Description

Primary Function
StraitSys is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team to provide support services to the FBI's Finance and Facilities Division (FFD) Huntsville Strategy Team (HST). StraitSys is tasked with coordinating the realignment of FBI resources to Huntsville, Alabama, as part of the FBI’s Strategic Realignment Initiative (SRI). Additionally, this position may explore smaller transition opportunities to Clarksburg, West Virginia, and Pocatello, Idaho. The SRI includes the potential realignment of over 3,000 positions outside the National Capital Region (NCR), with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and creating synergies between FBI programs. The areas of emphasis necessitate the realignment of resources to include evaluating current program structure, relocating current employees, and recruiting and hiring individuals in the Huntsville area. To ensure a successful realignment of resources, the FBI has assembled the HST to focus on the change management strategy and Division support. 

StraitSys is responsible for preparing and assessing the effect of the realignment on the workforce and recommending opportunities for cross-division collaboration.

Essential Duties

  • Support the development and execution of communication plans and strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute communication products including announcements, presentations, newsletters, and reports.
  • Assist with stakeholder engagement activities and coordinate communication efforts across internal and external audiences.
  • Support the planning and execution of meetings, events, and outreach initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day communications support to leadership and project teams, ensuring timely and accurate messaging.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with two (2) years or more of business analyst experience. Educational requirement may be waived if the candidate has five (5) or more years of experience may be substituted for education.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance is required
  • Two (2) years or more experience to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to present information and respond effectively to sensitive issues.
  • Ability to solve problems involving various types of situations.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • At least two (2) years of experience in communications or public relations.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear and concise messaging.
  • Familiarity with federal government communication processes.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
