Job description

Resource Energy Equipment is seeking an experienced and highly organized Controller to join our growing team. This position will oversee the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal financial processes across multiple operational divisions within the oil & gas industry.

We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong leadership skills, and can help drive operational efficiency while maintaining financial accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Payroll
    • General Ledger
    • Bank Reconciliations
    • Fixed Assets
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and company financial policies
  • Coordinate with external CPA firms, auditors, and tax professionals
  • Develop and improve internal accounting controls and procedures
  • Assist executive leadership with financial analysis and strategic planning
  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Support operational teams with cost tracking and reporting
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with all financial records
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting or financial management experience
  • Prior Controller or senior-level accounting experience preferred
  • Oil & gas, industrial, manufacturing, or service industry experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
