Job description

The Financial Controller shall oversee all financial attributes of a project from start to finish ensuring that each dollar is properly allocated and tracked.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Documenting expenses and complete expense reporting forms.
  • Oversee and submit owner invoicing to clients.
  • Ensure timely and accurate job cost accounting utilizing Sage Construction Management software.
  • Review project budgets and track expenditures.
  • Prepare documentation for vendors such as purchase orders or subcontract agreements.
  • Coordinate vendor billing and facilitate proper completion of necessary paperwork including but not limited to payroll reports, lien waivers, and other misc. affidavits required by contracts.
  • Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed on all projects tracking expenditures and receivables.
  • Understand and produce lien waivers and release waivers.


Qualifications

  • Background in construction or general accounting preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Basic understanding of math and financial calculations
