Job description

The Florida House Democratic Campaign Committee is the political, campaign, and fundraising arm responsible for the operations of the Florida House Democratic Caucus. The House Democratic Leader Designate and their campaign committee oversee the FHDCC operations and its staff.

Finance Associate

The Florida House Democratic Campaign Committee seeks a full-time Finance Associate for the remainder of the 2026 election cycle. The Finance Associate will be tasked with the planning and implementation of the FHDCC’s caucus fundraising program, largely executed via our 2026 events program. The FHDCC predominantly raises from the Florida lobby corp, but is also working towards a goal of getting more ideological/traditional Democratic individual donors more engaged with our caucus fundraising program. The Finance Associate would play a large role in managing those two main components of our caucus fi nance plan and fundraising program. The Finance Associate reports directly to the Caucus Director and Senior Advisor, and is a key staffer providing fundraising assistance to the Leader Designate.

Responsibilities
  • Executing the cycle fi nance plan in concert with the Senior Advisor, Caucus Director, and FHDCC Leadership.
  • Planning, selling, advertising, and executing the 2026 events program with in and out of state fundraising events, trips, and meetings.
  • Managing the Leader Designate’s fundraising call time.
  • Scheduling and preparing the Leader Designate for donor meetings.
  • Analyzing past cycle giving history from lobby corp and ideological Democratic donors to help inform and chase current cycle fundraising asks.
  • Additionally, analyzing and tracking who has already given this cycle and how much more is needed to be raised from all donors that were given a cycle ask.
  • Researching new potential donors and creating realistic fundraising asks.
  • Assisting incumbent Members, program candidates, and campaign staff with their individual campaign fundraising.
  • Work in tandem with the FHDCC staff in tracking expenditures, cash fl ow, and budget gaps for the caucus and program candidates and incumbents.
  • Report weekly to the Leader Designate, Caucus Director, and Senior Advisor.
  • Skills and Qualifications
  • One to two election cycles (24 years) of experience in political fundraising and campaigns.
  • Willingness to gain experience and deep knowledge of Florida’s:
  • Campaign Finance Law
  • Political landscape
  • Lobby Corp
  • Ideological/traditional Democratic individual donors
  • Political Committees
  • Association landscape
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets use
  • Proficient in NGPVAN and ActBlue.
  • Ability to create and manage budgets, fi nance plans, donor and call time lists, and cash fl ow projections and tracking.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including frequent statewide and out of state travel for events and meetings.
  • Salary and Benefits

    Salary commensurate with experience, with a minimum monthly salary of $5,000. The FHDCC provides health, dental, vision, and life insurance at no cost to the employee. The FHDCC is dedicated to a strong work environment that includes paid time off. Employees are paid on the 5th and the 20th of the month.
