The Financial Analyst is responsible for the performance of financial analysis and identification of business financial risk and opportunities.
Responsibilities of this position include:
  • Analyzes, designs, and develops program specific reporting for the finance and accounting department striving to automate report creation where possible.
  • Prepares significant volume of ad hoc proforma calculations and reports on a wide and ever-changing variety of topics health system performance.
  • Performs month-end financial statement entries, reconciliations and reporting for Hospital and Foundation.
  • Responsible for revenue mapping to ensure revenue is reported accurately in the general ledger.
  • In coordination with the Reimbursement Analyst, using contract management software, analyzes third-party payments and follows up with payers on reimbursement variances.
  • May participate in and support the preparation of the annual forecast.
  • Independently maintains accounting interfaces and updates to the financial reporting software (Axiom). Addresses problems in a timely manner.
  • Generates and distributes monthly department financial reports and bi-weekly payroll reports.
  • Demonstrates initiative and project ownership; follows through with a high level of accuracy.

Requirements of this position include:
  • Bachelors degree
  • 1 year of analytical experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to teach & motivate others
  • Ability to explain complex ideas and issues to various levels of management
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products & other software programs and databases
  • Read, speak, write, and understand English
